Koko Crater
Oahu, Hawaii

Koko Crater is an extinct volcanic crater on the south shore of Oahu, which is known as Kohelepelepe in the Hawaiian language. Its highest peak is Puu Mai, which is more then 1200 feet high.

In the above picture, Koko Crater is the large volcanic crater in the center, Koko Head is the smaller hill on the far left side of the picture, and Sandy Beach can be seen below Koko Crater.

Koko Crater Botanical Gardens
This 200 acre botanical gardens inside Koko Crater has thousands of flowering plants and it also specializes in Xeriscape, the art and science of producting attractive and sustainable landscapes that conserve water.

Koko Crater Equestrian Center
These horseback riding stables are located inside Koko Crater, on the south shore of Oahu. Trails wind through Koko Crater and through the Koko Crater Botanical Gardens. For more information visit the Koko Crater Equestrian Center Web Site or leave a phone message at 808-395-2628.
