Kapiolani Park

Kapiolani Park is a 300 acre city park located at the foot of Diamond Head Crater in Waikiki on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

Attractions in Kapiolani Park include the Honolulu Zoo, the Waikiki Shell outdoor amphitheater, the Kapiolani Park Bandstand, soccer fields, tennis courts, an archery range, and a jogging course with exercise stations. Many festivals and special events are held in Kapiolani Park and it also serves as the starting and ending point for several races including the world famous Honolulu Marathon.

Kapiolani Park was created in 1876 by the Kapiolani Park Association, when they leased the land from King Kalakaua. The park has been managed by the City and County of Honolulu since 1913.
